I think you should look at Thomas Frederick Penfold born 1901 Q1 East Ashford. Purely because it's where Phyllis was at the time she must of met him. :read

I had a real try at it Dennis, but as far as Frederick Thomas Penfold goes, I haven't got anything to add. Most strange.
It's also hard because his christian names get mixed up on the children's birth certificates, so he could be Thomas Frederick or Frederick Thomas?

Anyway, I found 3 other children that she may of had with a Stephen Saunter (married 1921 Cranbrook).

Vera V R Saunter 1922 Cranbrook. (Mother Lawrence)
Peggy V Saunter 1924 East Ashford. " "
Rudolph F P Saunter 1927 East Ashford " "

Hope it helps. :read

I am trying to trace a Frederick Thomas Penfold who was in Kent area in 1928-1930. During this time he had three children with a Phyllis Lawrence but did not marry her - she later put the children in a home by 1932 by which time she was with another man. As I don't have age of Frederick to work with I need to account for all Frederick Thomas Penfold's around during this time therefore looking at Frederick 1879-1933 the son of John and Jane from Crawley. I know Crawley Frederick married in 1903 and had three children by 1911 but wife and children not with him on 1911 census (had they separated?). Any information would be appreciated.
