Sea salt vs Rock salt - which is better?

Postby steveizy » Sat Oct 23, 2010 6:31 pm

Well, neither.

Salt has never turned up in primitive rock formulations. That means that all salt comes from the sea at some time or another. Rock salt may however have gained extra minerals and/ or pollutants from being part of the land-mass.

Well if Rock salt has gained minerals that are absent in sea salt and if these minerals benefit health then Rock salt.
Pollutants are likely present due to the amount of pollution humans create and dump on the planet.
Regrdless of this a little salt is essential in our diet.
It seems in my opinion that food manufacturers see this as an opportunity to bulk our food up with salt as a means to larger profits. :D
