Beef Stew and Upsidedown Garlic Bread

Chop up some braising steak. Fry in a large pan using butter.
When brown add 2 chopped up leeks, one onion, 2 chopped carrots and as many mushrooms as you like. Add salt and pepper. After 5 minutes, add a big squirt of garlic paste and another of tomato puree. Then add water to cover it all. Then add 2 chicken stock cubes. This is it.
You can add to this mix anything you have handy. Paprika, chillies, peppers, anything you like. Then cook on top of the stove on a low heat (with a lid on) for 1 hour. Then add some uncooked new potatoes. Continue cooking for 1 hour. Don't forget to keep stirring gently now and then (and having the odd cheeky taste). When you like it serve it. If you think it needs a little something, then add it. Some people like to add marmite mustard/herbs etc. Whatever.
Buy some pre-packed garlic bread slices and grill butter side up, then turn over and spread with philadelphia cheese and onion/chives/herbs/tomatoes/garlic and grill.
Enjoy, but most of all have fun.
