Brexit Bumps –Get up, stand up!

Brexit Bumps –Get up, stand up!
Some honesty at last seems to be hitting the media (Sunday Times August 18th) about the truth of the impact of leaving the EU with no deal.
The poorest, the disabled, ethnic minorities these people and communities struggling now will find the 25% increase in food prices devastating.
The economic downturn will be just one part.
The destruction of the United Kingdom will follow, Scotland , Wales going their own way.
The main devastation will take place in the weakest link, namely Northern Ireland where sectarian loyalties still determine where you live and where your kids get educated.
Indeed there will be trouble ahead

treason :kebab
the crime of betraying one's country,... lock these failing politicians up
No-deal Brexit has never loomed larger than in the current moment. Boris Johnson has said that Britain will leave the European Union on 31 October. His entire political strategy is based on the credibility of his threat to follow through, regardless of whether he has come to an agreement with the remaining 27 members. As a result, the need to understand what no deal may mean in practice has become increasingly urgent. UK in a Changing Europe, have tried to address this: our report on it is out on Wednesday. 'We don’t have any inside information. We’re not privy to material that others have. But they do have a team of scholars who have spent their careers studying the relationship between the UK and the EU, and so are well placed to consider the potential implications if the UK were to leave in this manner.'

Land of hope and Glory [Freedom_msn.uk.gif]
When Britain fi-i-irst, at heaven's command,
Aro-o-o-ose from out the a-a-a-zure main,
Arose, arose, arose from out the a-azure main,
This was the charter, the charter of the land,
And guardian a-a-angels sang this strain:
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
[Freedom_msn.uk.gif]
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
The nations, no-o-o-o-ot so blest as thee,
Must i-i-i-i-in their turn, to ty-y--yrants fall,
Must in their turn, to ty-y-rants fall,
While thou shalt flourish, shalt flourish great and free,
The dread and e-e-e-e-nvy of them all.
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.

Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves. :punch

The EU's loss is our gain. :scratc
As King George once said (at least in Broadway's Hamilton), "Oceans rise, empires fall / We have seen each other through it all." Isn't it time we joined forces again? [Freedom_msn.uk.gif]
