Pink Slime

I recently read a story which was written in the Daily Mail about Jamie Oliver versus the fast food giant McDonald's and his subsequent victory in America.
The article reported that following his hit T.V. show where Jamie shows viewers that fatty cow parts /off cuts
(best suited for pet food or making cooking oil) were used in the recipe for hamburgers, also a mixture of Ammonium Hydroxide was included in the burger mixture.
It goes on to say that McDonalds will no longer include the ‘pink slime’ as renamed by Mr. Olive and a direct response to the chefs’ healthy eating crusades.
The part about McDonalds no longer including the ‘pink slime’ in the burger recipe in the U.S was slightly worrying
Does Mac put ‘pink slime’ in the British and European version of their hamburgers?
If the answer to that question is yes? Then it’s a good day for both the producers and exporters of ‘pink slime’.
Finally wouldn’t it make more sense to call a hamburger a beef burger if the main ingredient is Beef?
