Hovering, Stationary Hurricane – time to wake up!
I begin to write this article of Greta Thunberg, the school girl environmental activist who has captured the reality of the pressing need to stop the damage being done to our planet [Panic_.gif]
She tells us that unless we act now, the damage from climate change will be totally irreversible.
As she says, the Earths biosphere is being sacrificed for rich people to live in luxury. Her speeches reveal the detail of the daily damage being done, 150-200 species a day becoming extinct (plant, insect, bird, and mammal). The world presently uses 200 million barrels of oil a day’ which on all levels is totally unsustainable and sea levels continue to rise. The tornado hadn’t moved for 24hrs the hovering tornado stuck over the Bahamas devastating for the country and its people and a clear warning our international environment is under threat like never before. [Panic_.gif]
:getsmiley :blowup This hovering tornado is a first, but these deviant life changing weather phenomena will only worsen.
As Greta states clearly in her speeches, by 2030 we will see a chain reaction leading to permanent climate change. This will mark a point of no return. Greta encourages the populations of the world to wake up and make changes needed now before it is no longer possible. Her youth and vast vision can enlighten us all.
Each and every one of us has a important part to –play, CO2 emissions, carbon footprints, travel and lifestyle choices are all daily elements that can help reduce our individual impact.
SO don’t feel helpless this is the time to make some positive changes!
Let’s give our beautiful planet a chance :earth
