He was baptised on the 10th March 1854, his Baptism record reads:

Martha Ann Heritage (nee Bryant) died in 1931 in Cuckfield, Sussex, age 80.

St Mary's Church, Reigate, Surrey. Baptised 28th December 1879, born 19th October 1879, George, son of John and Martha Ann Heritage.
Residing at Cromwell Road, Reigate. Confectioner.

In the Oct/Nov/Dec quarter of 1906 in Horsham, George married Melinda Mary Butcher. Her father, John Butcher, was a Gardener.

Mary married Percy Walter Jeal in 1922 in Cuckfield and they went on to have 12 children.

2. Thomas John Ross Heritage.
Thomas was born on the 24th July 1909 in Ringmer Sussex.
In April 1936 in Cuckfield, Sussex Thomas John Ross Heritage married Edna Ruth Feist.
Edna was born on the 28th Jan 1912 in Lewes Road, Ditchling Sussex. Her father was John Feist (born 1882 Slaugham-1965) he was a Waggoner on a farm, and her mother was Rose English (born 1880 Malmesbury- 1952).

4. Jack Heritage.
Jack was born in 1884 in Crawley, West Sussex.
In 1915 Jack was fighting in France with the Frontier Garrison Artillery. His British army WW1 Medal Card reads:
Jack Heritage R.G.A, Gunr. Regiment no. 52885 Victory, British and Star Medals.
First Theatre of War, France 17th July 1915.

Marriage record reads:
Parish Church of St. James, Hatcham, Lewisham. 5th February 1916.
Jack Heritage, age 32, bachelor, Bombadier R.G.A. 66th Siege Battery, Lydd Camp, Kent, father John Heritage, Baker.
Isabel Charlotte Stone, age 35, spinster, of 15 Batavia Road, father, William Bernard Stone, Builder.
Witnesses, Herbert G. Stone and Susan Stone.

Sergeant Jack Heritage was killed in action on the 21st April 1918 in France. He was awarded the Military Medal.
He was buried in Ebblinghem Military Cemetery, Nord-Pas-de Calais, France.
