Edward John Hudson was born on the 20th March 1884 in Swanton Morley, Norfolk, England.

On the 16th November 1901 in Saint Mary's Church, Stone, Kent, Edward John Hudson married my Great Grandmother, Abigail Emma Manning.

(He then signed up again and joined the Royal Engineers, where he progressed to acting Lance Corporal, service no. 646.
Some of the writing in the documents are very hard to decipher, but I did my best.)

Qualified Engine Driver.
6th May 1918 Sent to Anti-Gas School at Tadworth for course on Anti-Gas measures.

Abigail Emma Hudson (nee Manning) died in the October quarter of 1936 in Chatham, Kent age 57.
Edward John Hudson and Abigail Emma Manning had 5 children.
