Seeking out information how her father is going and finds out he died. Which direction does he go from here to melt this ice cold female and break her exterior.

He is determined to know the connection between The Commissioner and Detective Superintendent Kathleen Emerson. Is there a connection or is she as good as she makes out.

Suddenly tears start to form in the eyes of Kathleen; Bundy hands her his handkerchief to wipe them away. The mention of her father and now to work with a detective he once worked with kicks off deep emotions. Would her father be proud of what she has achieved? Would he treat her differently now she is working with a detective he mentored. His death was sudden, she never had an opportunity to say her proper good-byes and to tell him how much she loved and adored him.

Bundy understood the feelings of losing a loved one. Although it'd been eight years since he lost the love of his life, he still carried the love he'd always had for over thirty-one years.

NOTE: I'm making this up as I'm going along. Thoughts flow from my mind and I'm writing them as they flow. Words fall onto the screen and hopefully you are enjoying the story so far.

Wait until tomorrow and I'll think of something else.

Chapter 1 is complete and Chapter 2 is progressing well. Bundy has settled his difference with Detective Superintendent Emerson after they visit the canteen to have a coffee.

Back in their office they discuss the reason why Bundy had been included to work with her. She has been working on an investigation for eight years. Bundy is now included in this investigation. He is to look at it with new eyes.

Bundy is back into the harness of being an investigator and keen to get on with the investigation. A file is downloaded for Bundy to take home and go through the 'running sheet' to see if he can see anything that's stands out.

Wait until tomorrow and I'll tell you what Bundy finds.

After a couple of weeks of trawling through eight years of heavy police work Bundy is no closer to finding a needle in the haystack than flying to the moon. He telephones Detective Superintendent Emerson and invites her to go with him to a night harness racing event. After some thinking - she agrees.

They met at the track, she is dressed up to the nines. Her hair is styled differently, her manner totally changed. Her initial question when they met was 'why' this venue?

Bundy explains after ploughing through eight years of police investigations he needed a night to relax and wanted her to meet some of his friends. You see in the old days the old saying was in detective circles ýou won't find nuns in brothels and hardly find prostitutes in churches'. If you want to find out information about anything go to a public place where you're known and trusted and the word will spread. It's strange how people want to put their two bobs worth in.

Wait until tomorrow to see how this idea works.

I've completed Chapter 2. Writing at this rate each day I'll have the manuscript completed in a couple of months. I'm thoroughly enjoying writing this book. It's taken on a life of its own. Back to the story.

Bundy meets Detective Superintendent Emerson at the Albion Park Paceway and escorts her to the dining area. It overlooks the track lit brightly with flood lights. The crowd huge fills the grandstand.

After they are seated at their table next to the window overlooking the track Detective Superintendent Emerson shares with Bundy this is her first experience at a racetrack. She asked Bundy 'how' she should bet. He hands her a racebook and points out the name of each horse and their driver.

She chooses a horse in the next race priced at one hundred to one odds. She hands Bundy ten dollars and tells him to place the bet for her. He tries to talk her out of wasting her ten dollars but she is determined that is the horse. There is a reason for choosing this particular horse.

You'll need to wait until tomorrow to find out if the horse wins or loses.
